Amy Krueger’s Path to Realty Triumph with Key Padgett Partnership

Amy Krueger’s journey from being a stay-at-home mom for 14 years to a successful real estate agent is a testament to her resilience and determination. Navigating through a divorce, she sought a new source of income and found her calling in real estate, where she now owns her own firm, Amy Krueger Realty. Reflecting on her decision to pursue this career path, Amy acknowledges it as one of the best choices she has ever made. With the guidance of Padgett Gainesville, Amy has not only grown her business but has also efficiently managed her finances during tax seasons. “I’m very thankful for the success I’ve had in the past six years,” she adds.

The early days of Amy’s real estate venture were marked by challenges, requiring 12-24 months to gain momentum. Despite her prior experience in the home-buying process, she recognized the need for further education. Amy embraced the learning curve, dedicating significant time to training and self-education. She notes, “I spent a lot of time in training that first year so that I could be ready to help my clients when I dove in.” This dedication laid the foundation for a flourishing career where she not only achieves professional success but also helps her clients find their forever homes.

Handling business taxes initially involved collaboration with her ex-husband’s father, a CPA. However, post-divorce, Amy turned to Padgett for professional financial guidance. Working with Josh, her dedicated advisor at Padgett Gainesville, Amy expresses appreciation for his role in streamlining her business taxes. “I have a side gig that I need to incorporate into my business taxes as well, and Josh has just been able to handle everything. He was even able to get me a federal refund, and I owed very little in state taxes,” she says.

Amy’s connection with Padgett grew beyond a mere recommendation from a friend. Josh, her designated advisor, evolved into a strategic partner in her business. Their discussions transcended tax matters, extending to Amy’s long-term goals. Amy shares, “I plan to buy a house in the future, and Josh has helped me reach a very low tax debt this year so that I’m able to put more money towards buying a house.” This personalized approach defines their professional relationship, providing Amy with comprehensive financial planning.

Navigating the intricacies of being a single mother with four children and an ex-husband, Amy values Josh’s proactive and communicative approach. His understanding of her unique situation ensures that financial decisions align with her broader life goals.

Amy imparts valuable advice to new business owners, emphasizing the importance of treating the business as such from day one. Reflecting on her own early excitement, she urges others to allocate funds for taxes, build an emergency fund, and capitalize on the perks of running a business. “My other biggest piece of advice,” Amy adds, “is to talk to the professionals. Talk to your CPA, your financial planner, and talk to other agents that have been in the industry for a while. Make sure to set up your business with the right business structure, such as an LLC, an S-Corp and so on. You really need to rely on the professionals because you don’t know what you don’t know.”

Despite her demanding schedule, Amy prioritizes moments of rest, taking two vacations a year and engaging in activities like horseback riding. These moments contribute to her overall well-being, reinforcing the importance of finding time to unwind and recharge.

Grateful for the consistent support from Padgett, especially Josh, Amy recognizes their partnership as more than transactional. Their relationship embodies a true alliance built on trust, understanding, and a shared commitment to each other’s success. For Amy, Padgett is not just a financial resource but an indispensable ally on her journey toward both professional and personal fulfillment.

As Amy continues to expand her career, she dedicates time to giving back to her community. She mentors new agents, sharing insights she wishes she knew when she started, and actively volunteers for various committees within Keller Williams. Recognizing the significance of having a supportive community, she ensures she’s an integral part of that support network.
